Now that I'm done drooling over the above picture from the set of the movie...
There hasn't been much news regarding the upcoming Jonah Hex. As a matter of fact, there hasn't been any. No poster. No trailer. No stills. Finally, a spokesperson states that a trailer will premiere before
A Nigthmare on Elm Street.
Although, frontman of the band Mastodon, Brent Hinds has a few negative words about the project after the jump...

The relatively unknown actor will set sail with Johnny Depp in the unnecessary sequel,
Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.
Hailing from the United Kingdom, Claflin attended The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. He then won roles in the historical mini-series “The Pillars of the Earth,” alongside actors Ian McShane, Rufus Sewell, Matthew MacFadyen and Donald Sutherland, followed by the telefilm “The Lost Future.”
Claffin will play a young missionary named Phillip. The actor joins Johnny Depp, Penelope Cruz (in talks), Ian McShane (in talks), and the equally unknown Astrid Berges-Frisbey. The Jerry Bruckheimer production is being directed by Rob Marshall (
Chicago,
Nine) and is due in theaters May 20, 2011.

Peter Jackson sat down with Moviefone to discuss the forthcoming prequel/adaptation. Regarding the alleged delays...
"Well, it's not really been delayed, because we've never announced the date. I mean it's sort of interesting because the studio [MGM] has never greenlit 'The Hobbit,' so therefore 'The Hobbit' has never been officially announced as a "go" project, nor have we ever announced a date. But there's so much interest that people -- newspapers and magazines, of their own account, say, ah, it's likely to film in May, it's likely to film in June, it's likely to film in September. People make this stuff up. And then if it's not filming in June, you get a story saying, "'The Hobbit's' been delayed." But it's never actually been announced."
Hit the jump for details on when the film will begin shooting, how far along they are with the script, and if there happens to be anybody cast for the role of Bilbo Baggins...

Over at JoeBuddenTV back in November, Joe Budden
posted that he had to write the most important verse of his entire career and that he goes last on the song in question. This thread is brought back up recently with the announcement of Eminem's new album,
Recovery, and the recent leak of Royce Da 5'9"'s
Bar Exam 3 track, 'Nobody Fuckin' With Us', in which Royce says...
"Shady. Got a nice ring to it, huh? Don't that shit sound so good coming from me? If you like the white boy, then your ass might as well start liking me too, because from here on out, anytime you see him, you're going to see me too"

What was once a rumor, is now confirmed. John Malkovich was set to play The Vulture in the now dead sequel,
Spider-Man 4.
"Yes [I was disappointed] but I mean, because I like Sam, and I like Tobey, and all that stuff and the producers, one of whom I had met before because I had been offered the first one [film]. And one of which I came to know, I like them all, yeah sure why not, but it didn't play out. Yeah, I think a lot of the people who sort of follow that genre-- I'm not sure I never really spoke with Sam about this, but I'm not sure-- maybe either the kind of fanbase, the fanboys, the base of that perhaps didn't approve of that character as an adversary to some extent, or maybe the studio, or maybe that was totally unrelated to why that fell apart. I heard various things about it, but yeah it was a drag because I like Sam, and he's offered me a couple of things and it hasn't worked out."
Too bad.

Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade and Rob Schneider star as five men who were best friends when they were young kids and now are getting together for the Fourth of July weekend to meet each others' families for the first time. Picking up where they left off, they discover why growing older doesn't mean growing up.
Grown Ups opens June 25th. I just wish Sandler would fully transition into dramatic roles. Oh well.

Yahoo! has released its updated version of the well-known "100 Movies to See Before You Die" to fit the more modern movies into the list. Only 17 movies from the original list transferred over to this one, but I found this list to be MOSTLY true. With movies like
Avatar and
the Hurt Locker and all the awards they've won, it's hard to imagine that there were ever any other movie greats like them. Take a look at the list and comment your opinions.
KEVIN SIDENOTE: Actually it's 101 Movies because they accidentally left off '
The Blair Witch Project'. :)
