Apple iPhone To Come To Verizon?

April 12, 2010 Props to Brittany
Apple has done a good job of making their way into people's minds the past couple of months, with the release of the iPad, the coming of the iPhone OS 4.0 (which looks awesome), and now there's talks of the iPhone switching from their exclusive contract with AT&T (which ends 3rd Quarter 2010) and going over to Verizon, who now is advertising their 3G smartphones more than ever. So what's really happening? (Read on for more info...)

As stated earlier, Apple iPhone's exclusive contract with AT&T runs out this year, so they are able to start making an iPhone for other companies if they wish to. So why not move their phone to the most talked about phone company out right now? Companies are merging with Verizon and going out of business because of it, so why not bring the most desired phone of the time to them?

According to multiple statements from both Verizon and Apple representatives, an Apple iPhone is in the works for Verizon's coming 4G network. It was due to release in June, just a few months after the release of the iPad, but this has all changed. Because the market for the 4G network on Verizon won't be beginning until Fall 2010, the release date of the Verizon iPhone has changed to this time.

The iPhone's up-and-coming 4G network is anticipated to be the best, fastest, and most reliable network that has ever been known to any phone company, and it's also anticipated that this network will be released on Verizon before any other. Not only will this Verizon iPhone have the new OS 4.0, but it will have this new 4G network, so Verizon's planning for the release and giving early upgrades to 3G smartphones to many of their customers, presumably to make more money when their customers, rather than switching to AT&T just to get the iPhone, start switching all their phones to this high-tech touch screen phone.

Many new customers are also anticipated to be coming to the Verizon network because of this switch to the iPhone, so what more is there to come from Verizon in the future? And will the iPhone actually release on this company? Stay tuned for more information.
